Financing Studies & Funding Advisory

A financing structure is a set of assumptions with a signature.
Five independent AI models test every assumption first.

For the advisor building the structure. For the consultant who carries the eligibility position into the funder's review. For the sponsor who lives with the plan long after the file has been filed.

Structures grounded in current regulation and program rules. Eligibility positions that survive the funder's review. Absolute confidentiality on the project and its numbers. Speed at application and closing pace that does not compromise the file — and a record of how each conclusion was reached, ready the day the funder asks.

A single AI gives one confident answer, in the same tone whether it cites the program rules or invents them — and a model trained to agree with you validates your financing plan instead of testing it. On a plan that decides whether the project exists, that is not a research assistant. That is a risk.

Step 1

The companion builds the brief with you.

The project and what it costs. The mix on the table — debt, equity, public funding. The program rules and the eligibility criteria you are reading them against. The funder, the review, and the date the application has to be filed.

Step 2

Research and retrieval fire in parallel.

  • Federal Register · eCFR US regulatory text and current program rules
  • SEC issuer filings and disclosure behind the capital structure
  • IRS tax treatment, credits and incentive eligibility
  • GAO federal program oversight and funding-program findings
  • EUR-Lex EU legislation for cross-border structures
  • OECD public funding frameworks and cross-border comparison

Every claim carries a provenance tag. [SOURCED] means traced to a verified reference. [INFERRED] means analytical inference — flagged automatically. Claims that cannot be traced are labelled as inference, never presented as fact.

Step 3

Five frontier AI perspectives deliberate, each through a calibrated mandate.

  • The Architect maps the structure — the mix of debt, equity and public funding, and where each tranche actually sits.
  • The Strategist reads the funding environment, the program cycle and the review the file will meet.
  • The Engineer works the numbers — project cost, the funding gap, and how sensitive the plan is to a tranche that does not land.
  • The Counsel tests the eligibility position against current regulation and program rules, and names what a funder would question.
  • The Contrarian sole mandate: argue this financing plan does not close, and name the assumption that breaks first.

Five complete analyses. Five distinct angles. Not five versions of the same answer. Then they challenge each other, anonymously. Then they converge — and when one perspective refuses to, that dissent is preserved rather than averaged away.

Output:GO / PIVOT / NO GO / INSUFFICIENT BASIS · Confidence score · Decision matrix · Minority Report · Testable predictions.

Questions Pilot5.ai helps with

  • Is this mix of debt, equity and public funding right for the project's reality, or just the one we know how to assemble?
  • Does our eligibility position actually survive the funder's review, or only our reading of the rules?
  • Where is the funding gap if one tranche does not land, and what fills it?
  • What will the funder challenge first in this application, and what is our answer?
  • Is the file ready to be filed, or are we filing because of the deadline?

Common questions

Is the client's funding file confidential?
File content is never used to train any AI model. A pseudonymization layer replaces sponsor and personal identifiers with reversible tokens before the models see them, restoring them only in your result — automated detection reduces what reaches a provider, though it cannot guarantee elimination. Each deliberation leaves a timestamped record you can retrieve by ID. Retention periods and Zero Data Retention mode are set out in our Privacy Policy.
Does it replace the advisor or the funding body's assessment?
No. It argues the file the way an assessor will — eligibility, the weakest justification, the number that will be queried — and keeps the objection on the record so it can be answered before submission rather than after rejection.
What does it cost per file?
The estimate is shown before the deliberation runs, reserved at launch, settled on completion, with any excess refunded, so it stays proportionate to a file that may or may not be funded. Current rates are on the pricing page.

Do not take our word for it. Run your own deliberation on a question you know well.

Read how five independent models handle it, then decide what it is worth.
